[...] What makes many contemporary photographic images extremely significant – including those produced by Nuno Cera in the framework of this project – is linked to their apparent non-expressionism. This involves being able to look at an image without wanting to extract any kind of transcendent message therefrom. However, to the extent that this image ends up by not reflecting a unique need to document things, in the conventional sense of the word, the artist guarantees the liberty to find a highly fertile playing field therein - for extraction of moments of unique aesthetic density.
