In the context of these perceptive deviations, Carlos Lobo’s photographs acquire a meaning that goes beyond the simple act of documenting: how we can narratively articulate images, taking advantage of details in order to decontextualise them and manipulate structural and compositional elements and thereby strip them of their obviousness and push them towards the common concerns shared by other producers of artistic images, such as painters or filmmakers.
